Short Rides

Tea & Maggie Beside a River(location shared)

A calm and sunny day transcended into an amazing adventure when we decided to pull out our bikes and head towards an undecided spot towards Mysore. Accompanied by Alpharider96, hunting for a perfect location was a thrill. After riding for almost 140 Kms, we started our hunt for a decent spot. After scouting for couple of hours near the banks of Kaveri river(near Srirangapatna) , we finalized a serene place(devoid of human souls but full of chirping birds).

Shady Tents©

I’m posting a rough location here – ( https://goo.gl/maps/RCaY9p6KKsDs5T6m6 )

We opened our trekking bags and assembled our shade tent. It took a while to do the setup as we brought in(not so necessary) principles of geometry and how the shade of the tent would shift as the sun moves.

Our conversations lazily slipped into interesting folds of psychology. And while that was happening we parallely laid out or portable kitchen. On the menu was Maggie(brought all the way from Oman by my accomplice Alpharider96) and my special lemon and mint tea.

We prepared maggie in a heavy cast iron pan and tea in our trusty kettle. we used a korean made stainless steel(easier to clean & does not rust) portable gas stove. One cylinder lasts for 1.5 hours of continuous cooking(and of course we didn’t use the entire cylinder). I decided to make a short

video – ( https://youtu.be/iR1uQYzBlP4?si=wuHpbH3EGlWEs-RV ) of the cooking process.

Thought our portions were limited but seemed enough as our meal was accompanied by a perfect ambience + great conversation + shisha/hookah-our third bubbly companion 😉

Towards evening we packed our bags and headed back to Bangalore with great memories.
